Job Description
 
  • The Engineering Quality Leader is responsible for all quality aspects of the Engineering Function.
 
  • Assume quality assurance leadership role in all aspects of quality engineering and associated documentation for the assigned processes.
 
  • Apply technical and quality knowledge and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex process problems to assure that prompt and effective action is taken to prevent or, as necessary, resolve quality issues.
 
  • Implement changes to improve processes and product quality, optimize production of quality at the source, and eliminate failures/losses.
 
  • Maintain global quality assurance programs and procedures, and assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
 
  • Provide training of individuals in quality related activities.
 
  • Assure that engineering activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements.
 
  • Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, processes, systems, and requirements.
 
  • Provide quality plans to monitor and report quality delays
 
  • Develop plans to reduce "Engineering Cost of Quality" and margin leakages year over year
 
  • Measure and improve transactional processes to increase "First Time Yield".
 
 
Qualifications
 
  • Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
 
  • At least 5 years of experience in Engineering and Engineering Quality Improvement methods.
 
 
Desired
 
 
  • Additional leadership experience in the areas of Quality, Operations, or Manufacturing, is preferred.
 
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification is preferred (GE employees only).
 
  • Executive level presentation skills.
 
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in all customer service areas.
 
  • Responsible for meeting customer/business needs as well as developing direct reports.
 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
