Responsibilities:
Checking of design, detail drawings, plans or other design I specification data and vendor drawings
Ability to coordinate with design team of other disciplines for interdisciplinary interaction
Checking of SLD, Schematics, interconnection diagrams
Checking of electrical layouts for electrical equipment, power, cable routing, earthing, lighting and hazardous area classification
Conversant with design of HV substations up to 33 kV
Checking of MTOs, Cable schedule and load list
Familiarity with international codes and standards
Quality Assurance — Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the company Quality Assurance system
Requirements:
Minimum qualifications - Diploma in Electrical engineering
More than 7 years experience in the design and drafting of electrical systems
Experience with Microstation, experience with AutoCAD would be an advantage
Exposure to aluminium smelter design would be an advantage
Experience with the PDS system would be an advantage
