Responsibilities:
Preparation of design and detail drawings from sketches, plans or other design / specification data and vendor drawings
Ability to coordinate with design team of other disciplines for interdisciplinary interaction
Site visits and data collection for design
Preparation of mechanical / piping layouts for mechanical equipment, piping, and hazardous area classification
Familiarity with international codes and standards
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the company Quality Assurance system.
Safety - responsible for personal safety, safe working practices for the Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Requirements:
Relevant approved certificate from a state or technical education department or equivalent.
Minimum qualifications - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
More than 5 years experience in the design and drafting of Mechanical / piping systems
Experience with AutoCAD and Microstation
Exposure to industrial facilities / refineries would be an advantage
Experience with PDMS/PDS system would be an advantage
