Responsibilities:
Provide rotating equipment engineering input to conceptual studies, front end engineering and detailed engineering design for petrochemical, refineries and oil & gas facilities including the associated utilities.
Prepare of specifications, data sheets and other information covering rotating equipment and system packages.
Perform engineering design deliverables, including rotating equipment selection and specification, design development in collaboration with designers and coordination with other project discipline.
Preparation of technical requisition, stipulation of inspection and testing requirement including NDT and documentation.
Performance of bid evaluation and vendor document review and approval.
Quality Assurance – responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system
Safety – responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Requirements:
Engineering Degree in relevant discipline
Total 10 years mechanical design experience in the oil & gas environment including offshore developments. Hands on experience with pumps, compressors and packaged equipment
Experience with the development of layouts for new facilities
Experienced in the specification for, evaluation of and documentation of rotating equipment packages
Familiar with API, ASME/ANSI standards relevant to rotating equipment
Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritisation of work to achieve them
