Responsibilities:
Performs construction quality control activities in a technical or administrative capacity.
Responsible for the performance of on-site tasks related to quality control compliance.
Ensures inspection duties are in accord with quality program.
Responsible for documentation of inspection activities and maintenance of quality control records.
Generally assigned to a single discipline activity interfacing with a multi-discipline operation.
May have leadership responsibility providing technical direction to less experienced construction quality control engineers.
Assigned to a single discipline within a single area of a project.
Receives technical supervision in the form of direction.
May-provide technical and administrative guidance to clerical and para-technical personnel.
On a large job, performs a variety of assigned duties, interfacing with related tasks being performed within a single discipline.
On a medium to small job, performs assigned duties relating to all activities within a single discipline and interfacing with related tasks being performed in more than one discipline.
The Instrument Inspector is responsible to the Senior QC Engineer for adherance to specification and code requirements for all instrument installation work.
Ensures implementation of procedures on testing, installation and turnover of the various systems.
Performs inspections of all Instrument work in progress on a continuing basis & completes the final check our of equipment and wiring circuits, prior to turnover to the client.
Ensures subcontractors maintain record of all underground instrument distribution systems.
Reviews subcontractor calibration procedures for instruments in accordance with engineering requirements.
Ensures subcontractors apply safety practices for maintaining workers safety on instrument circuits.
Implements jobsite procedures for documentation of client and vendor witnessing of tests in instrument equipment circuits.
Responsible for checking all in lin/on line instruments .
Performs loop checking of field mounted and packaged equipment
Verification of subcontractor third party inspection PSV calibration - Should be familiar with DCS/ESD/F&G controls
Requirements:
Should have worked on a major EPC project preferably on our Project
