Overview
The Production Technician II will play a key role by focusing on critical production issues such as troubleshooting, analysis, problem solving, critical thinking and diagnostics of well sites and facility process equipment.
Accountabilities Include:
- Contribute to BP's HSE policy.
- Ensure daily production optimization, integrity and maintenance of well sites and facility process equipment.
- Troubleshoot production performance.
- Optimize equipment through the utilization of planning and scheduling.
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance to maintain the performance of equipment.
- Perform required duties as part of the Incident Management Plan.
- Monitor and maintain well equipment presently used throughout the area which includes beam pumping units, electric submersible pumps and plunger lifts.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Production Technician II applicants must have:
- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 of years of oilfield experience as a pumper or equivalent.
- The ability to provide a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The willingness and ability to work unscheduled hours and callouts in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:
- Proficient knowledge of maintenance program software (e.g., Maximo and/or Wonderware).
