The Project Manager will be responsible for:
In the Pre-execution phase, ensuring all deliverables for Project Appraisal Optimization and Definition] have been fully documented and approved, This includes but is not limited to:
- Defining the scope of work, securing a budget, staffing the project management team [PMT] for the front end engineering [FEL] work.
- Ensuring that all PMT members, stakeholders (incl. the Business Unit leadership team, partners and any external agencies) are aligned with the Project Execution Plan;
- Securing approval for design [AFD] and / or approval for expenditure [AFE] as required by the execution strategy. [
In the Execution phase manage all phases of the project through the implementation of plans for design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and handover to Operations.
- Validating the Project Execution Plan for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases.
- Taking responsibility for all matters related to project staffing in order to manage the project through all phases of the execution.
- Defining PMT technical and financial authority limits.
- Developing key metrics and goals that will enable the project team to achieve success by meeting goals and objectives.
- Implementing Management Plans for Quality, Risk management and Safety.
- Manage the “Change” process
- Managing E&P Contractors work
- Ensuring Project Completion and Handover in accordance with the project Plans.
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience on major Refinery and / or Petrochemical projects in senior leadership role.
- Domestically mobile.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Demonstrable interpersonal / teambuilding skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Understanding of the risk management process.
