Job Description
 
Perform duties to supervise and assist in the installation, repair, removal, and maintenance of equipment on customer well sites within the geographical area of assignment.
 
Initially under the guidance or instruction of an experienced Field Service Representative, the incumbent will undertake any or all of the following:
 
  • Install, repair, and maintain equipment at the well site. Perform valve repair, valve lubrication, and wellhead upgrading.
  • Repair, assemble, test, and maintain tools and customer equipment on shore base.
  • Organize, select, arrange shipment of, and receive tools and equipment.
  • Maintain all Vetco property, including truck, service tools, phone, computer equipment, etc. in a clean and ready state.
  • Process service tickets. Perform administrative functions relating to well records.
  • Maintain inventory levels of spare parts for service and rental tools.
  • Prepare detailed Job Safety Environmental Analysis (JSEA) requirements.
  • Promote and perform any field service oriented sales and maintain a confident customer relationship for the company.
  • Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
  • Must be able to work in different environmental conditions.
  • Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities and perform all duties as assigned by management.
 
Field service jobs are complex due to the variety of mechanical and well environmental factors that must be controlled and checked, usually under adverse conditions, time constraints, and the skill level of customer personnel supervised. The work involves definite danger to equipment or personal injury to the employee or customer's employees if the job is not performed correctly.
 
Qualifications
 
  • High school graduate (or GED) with college level courses and a minimum of one-year work experience.
  • Must be able to perform basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products, Lotus Notes and other Vetco programs.
