Responsibilities:
Supervises the startup engineering activities on one or more projects.
Plans and directs startup engineering assignments on the project(s) and has technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments. May include relocation to jobsite to perform specific startup activities as assigned.
Responsible for the startup and/or operations activities within a discipline on a small- or medium-sized project or designated portions of a large project.
Directs the preparation of portions of, or assists in the preparation of, operations manuals.
Supervises and provides technical guidance to personnel assigned to projects or tasks within area of responsibility.
Good knowledge of administrative practices and supervisory experience.
Lead a team of Technicians performing commissioning and maintenance tasks:
Identify the skills and number of people he needs.
Establish a relationship with client and company personnel, liaise with third-parties and others.
Get work packs from the Planner / Scheduler. Assess work packs and decide who shall do the work, when it shall be done and what is needed to do it.
Issue work packs to his Technicians, give them instructions and discuss methodology and safety for each job.
Expedite tools, spares, equipment and information. Facilitate the availability of information and records.
Assess and sign off completed Work Orders.
Compose and present Toolbox Talks.
Be a focal point for all aspects of maintenance activity; provide expertise and guidance in resolving problems.
Analyze maintenance performance to identify potential problems.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in heavy
industry, of which:
Sufficient experience in commissioning.
Broad experience in a leadership role.
Broad experiendce in working overseas.
Speak, read and write conversational level English.
Controls the use, condition and security of tools.
Knows something to a Moslem country.
Familiar with Permit To Work and Work Order System.
Familiar with Basic Microsoft Office and the use of computerized information systems.
Familiar with the working of a maintenance function and a vendor maintenance manual.
