Job Description:
As a member of the Joint Venture team in Mineral Land, you will be responsible for joint venture activities within specific geographic areas This position will appeal to those individuals who work independently, are highly detailed, organized, and enjoy variety in their work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare, review and analyze Unit and Unit Operating Agreements, Construction Ownership and Operations Agreements (CO&O’s), and product handling agreements within your geographic area
- Advise your Asset Management Team on joint venture matters
- Participate in meetings with partners, third parties and asset management team; including negotiations
- Work closely with Legal and Accounting groups with thoroughness and attention to detail
- Coordinate with a JV Administrator all JV administrative duties for your geographic areas
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Related post-secondary education in Joint Ventures or a combination of relevant experience and education will also be considered
- A minimum of 3 years progressive Joint Venture experience
- The ability to work effectively and independently
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail while maintaining a clear understanding of the larger picture
- Highly motivated and outstanding “can-do” attitude
- PJVA certificate is considered an asset
- The ability to work well as part of a team in a multi-deadline environment
- Strong communication (oral and written), negotiation, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of CS Explorer is consider an asset
