Responsibilities:
Provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge in key areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice.
Understand clients' needs; identify and address design parameters and problems; develop and implement innovative solutions.
Participate in early development of strategy, implementation and execution phases of tenders and projects
Develop strategies for subcontracting with global design houses
Independently evaluate, organise and prioritise work for self and others.
Undertake responsibility for production and coordination of engineering deliverables including review and verification.
Sign and issue technical documentation as originator checker or approver, accepting personal responsibility for its adequacy.
Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.
Actively participate in relevant training and development to pursue continuing professional development.
Ensure project fitness-for-purpose, legislative compliance and adherence to project budget & schedule.
Train / mentor engineers.
Riser and Pipeline design
Pipeline installation techniques and advanced analytical modelling
Design and Modelling of PLET and FLET structures in deep water
Requirements:
Presents self in a professional manner
Excellent oral and writing communication skills
Produces work of presentable quality
Client facing abilities
Familiar with industry recognised engineering software
Good organisational skills and smart working methods and a Team player
University graduate in a relevant discipline.
MSc is essential and PhD preffered
Chartered/Licensed status preferred
Can articulate learning and training experiences
Substantial Subsea and Pipeline experience is essential
Familiar with industry recognised engineering software
Ability to prioritise and organise multiple projects/packages
Team Player with leadership competencies
Business trips to clients and overseas offices
Must be physically fit for specified position subject to reasonable adjustments
