Description
There are four positions available:
Constructability Coordinator - Camps and Modularization will provide leadership in the development and implementation of constructability programs for modularization of pipe racks and equipment modules along with camps for the Surmont Phase 2 project according to schedule, specifications and budget.
Constructability Coordinator - Steam/Water and Water Tanks will provide leadership in the development and implementation of constructability program for the steam plant, water treatment plant and water tanks for the Surmont Phase 2 project according to schedule, specifications and budget.
Constructability Coordinator - Bitumen/De-oiling/Utilities/Production Tanks will provide leadership in the development and implementation of constructability programs for this area of the Surmont Phase 2 project according to schedule, specifications and budget.
These Coordinators will work closely with the assigned project engineer as a goal to maximize construction input into the EP process to allow seamless transition to the field with the end in mind.
Constructability Coordinator - Drillsites/Pipelines will provide leadership in the development and implementation of constructability programs for both the drillsites and pipelines for the Surmont Phase 2 project. The Coordinator will be a working member of a dedicated drillsite and pipeline group to optimize on drillsite design and fad facility layout along with pipeline planning to provide the template for all future drillsites. The goal will be to minimize both capital costs and surface area while developing the repeatable template for all future drillsites.
Responsibilities
- Implement project constructability programs that include constructability planning, contructability checklists for design and sequenced system turnover planning,
- Coordinate project design review for constructability concepts,
- Participate in the development of project plans, design and budget preparation,
- Contribute to the authoring of construction execution plans, contracts and safety plans
- Assists in the preparation of HAZOP/HAZID reviews and SIMOPS,
- Develop and review construction schedules and manpower loading,
- Assist in the preparation of contracts and negotiations to the contractual agreements with suppliers and subcontractors,
- Assist in the development of quality control programs
- Assist in the preparation of details work packages through interaction with engineering, procurement and construction,
- Execute accurate code reviews to ensure project compliance
- Initiate pre-construction meeting siwth consultants, peers, engineering and construction departments to determine the most cost effective method of performing the work at site,
- Share constructability concepts and solicit critques from design and construction peers for the purpose of improving the design and constructability of the project,
- Prepare presentation drawings and models as required during the FEED phase of the project
- Contribute to module/pre-assembly designs to facilitate fabrication, transport and installation,
- Document constructability lessons learned and prepare project data for inclusion in the Construction Industry Institute (CII) Benchmarking database.
Qualifications
Basic/Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years of construction experience with major international oil/gas projects.
- Working knowledge of all relevant engineering & construction codes and standards.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications/Critical Skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite of Software Programs
- Read, Write & Speak Fluent English Especially as Required to Function Effectively Within a-Project Team & to Communicate efficiently with Management / Contractors / & Sub-Contractors
- Previous Successful Leadership Role During pipeline and drillsite construction.
- Demonstrated Ability to Develop successful Professional Relationships & Become A Team Player
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
