Location: Fort McMurray, AB, Canada

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Project Controls Analyst will be accountable and responsible for: 
 
Accountabilities:
 
Track and quantify impacts of change orders on project budgets and forecasts.
Review open PO reports to monitor project expenditures on behalf of project management.
Coordinate change management information and documents on behalf of project manager.
Maintain key change order management documents including change orders and change log.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work with divisional controllers to ensure change order management information is correctly reflected in project forecasts, as required.
  • Run periodic project cost reports for project management.
  • Monitor and research variances from cost budget to maintain integrity of forecast results.
  • Assist project accounting in identifying required accruals on a monthly basis.
  • Investigate any procurement issues on behalf of project management.
  • Works with project management and site personnel to ensure North American’s policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with project manager, site personnel, external contacts, and divisional controller as to the status of change order documents.
  • Produce job progress tracking reports based on construction schedule and executed work for project management and client.
 
Skill/ Experience/ Attributes:
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in business/commerce or contract administration from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in project accounting or change order management process or contract analysis/administration.
  • Technical and practical knowledge of a multi-discipline construction project.
  • An ability to work with a team of operations and accounting personnel in a fast paced project environment.
