[Company] is a well established, employee-owned, professional consulting firm which operates across Canada and internationally. We provide a wide range of consulting and design services related to the infrastructure, real estate, resource, industrial and government sectors in Canada and abroad. We are currently seeking candidates for an Environmental Technician position in our Calgary Office.
Responsibilities:
· Completion of environmental field activities including data collection, groundwater and soil sampling, Sample analysis, supervision of well drilling and excavation of UST’s
· Collaboration with and assistance to project managers and team members including biologists, engineers, planners, and environmental scientists; and
· Completion of technical memos, letters, and reports.
Qualifications:
· A student or graduate in Environmental, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or a related discipline
· Valid driver’s licence
· One year related work experience will be considered an asset
Experience:
· Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service
· Knowledge of groundwater contamination, geology, hydrogeology, and field procedures
· Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
· Proven abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork and well as the ability to work independently
· Working knowledge of relevant municipal, provincial, and federal environmental legislation and policies will be considered an asset
