PRIMARY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Good working knowledge of the SMART program.
· Responsible for the day-to-day hands on operations of wells, compressors, and all related equipment.
· Operate wells, compressors and equipment in a manner that maximizes production and minimizes operating costs.
· Ensure that well tests are conducted and gas samples obtained for analysis.
· Coordinate outside services and provide direction as required.
· Supervise contract personnel in the completion of assigned tasks.
· Perform hazard assessments and permitting of crews.
· Basic optimization of wells and production.
· Maintain good housekeeping standard on all assigned wells and facilities.
· Ensure all sites are compliant with ERCB and OH&S regulations.
· Troubleshooting of problem wells, working with Rig Tech from time to time.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILL SET:
- Must demonstrate awareness and commitment to safety.
- Preferably five years experience in oil or gas field operations.
- Solid mechanical knowledge of related equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot production related problems.
- Ability to recognize and bring forward optimization opportunities.
- Effective communication skills with an emphasis on working well with others.
- PVR accounting skills required
- Strong computer skills would be an asset.
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license.
- May need to be on-call while on shift.
