Job Description
- Prepares contracts, contract confirmations and contract amendments.
- Maintains and updates customer profiles in the contract database.
- Maintains and updates the contracts files and contract database.
- Assures contracts are completed and executed within established policies and procedures.
- Drafts contract language variations and refinements as required. Works closely with the Legal Department to ensure review and approval of contract language variations.
- Initiates and tracks the internal and external routing of contracts, contract confirmations and contract amendments.
- Interacts with internal and external customers regarding fulfillment of contract requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, legal studies or a closely related field.
- High proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, and Access.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively and professionally interact with internal and external customers.
- Related experience which demonstrates increasingly responsible administrative duties with an emphasis on creating, proofreading and editing contracts, agreements or similar documents, attention to detail and organizational skills preferred.
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Paralegal experience preferred.
- Experience using JD Edwards preferred.
- Natural gas industry experience preferred.
- Experience with gas commodity contracts preferred
