Job Description
An outstanding, cost accounting opportunity has just become available with a reputable and established client in south Edmonton. Our client is an oil & gas manufacturer and adding a Cost Accountant to their team, as Cost Accountant you will play an instrumental role in the establishment of costing guidelines, policies and procedures and will also assist with a Tier 1 ERP system conversion. The successful cost accountant will also analyze and report standard cost accounting variances with a special focus on pricing variances within your assigned business unit on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Qualifications :
The ideal cost accountant will have a strong interest in standard costing and enjoy working in the manufacturing sector. As cost accountant you will bring a minimum of three years standard costing or project costing experience to the job combined with the successful completion of an Accounting Diploma or Accounting Degree. Ideally, as cost accountant you will also be enrolled in professional Canadian accounting designation (CGA/CMA) and also bring a down to earth and friendly approach to the job.
