Job Description
 
  • Position contingent upon business acquisition.
  • Manage Globasl EHS operations & integration efforts for newly acquired business unit, including program planning and implementation, cost/schedule control, and staffing.
  • Set EHS Integration priorities, metrics, goals, and requirements for newly acquired business unit.
  • Introduce and firmly establish programs, tools, and training to ensure compliance with EHS legislation and GE program expectations.
  • Continuously evaluate EHS program implementation and performance and develop/guide improvements.
  • Coordinate and conduct compliance audits/reviews of manufacturing sites, service shops, and field operations and coach personnel on identified improvement opportunities and closure of findings / recommendations.
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance in driving for EHS Excellence, including introduction of OSHA VPP, GE Global Star, ISO14001/18001, and other internationally recognized excellence programs.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other functional and operations leaders to ensure expeditious and sustainable EHS program implementation.
  • Liaise with internal and external EHS professionals and regulators and ensure audit protection privilege is instituted where & when appropriate.
  • Provide technical expertise and compliance support to EHS professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, standards, and practices, and assist in responding to significant incidents and government requests/notices.
  • Mentor EHS professionals to build technical, managerial and leadership skills and competencies.
  • Engage and coach operations leaders enabling them to successfully discharge their EHS leadership responsibilities.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • 5+ years GE EHS experience.
  • 3+ years multi-site & international EHS program management experience.
  • 3+ years managerial experience.
  • Oil & gas manufacturing and/or service industry experience.
  • Expert knowledge in US and/or International EHS regulations.
  • Must have integration and/or change agent experience.
