Calgary based firm focused on providing services to the oil, gas and utility sector as well as other industries. We specialize in underground services, site excavations, grading and preparation, environmental site clean up and remediation activates, decommissioning, and demolition of facilities, excavation and disposal of contaminated soils. As the accountant, you will be responsible for: Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and G/L duties Month-end and year-end preparation Prepare and issue various management KPI and dashboard reports Perform special projects and analysis Assist in the development of policies, procedures and internal controls Desired Skills and Qualifications Post secondary education and working towards an accounting designation 3-5 years of experience in a commercial construction accounting environment Simply accounting experience Superior written and verbal communication skills Advanced in the use MS Excel tolls and formulas Analytical and problem solving skills with a focus on serving both internal and external clients Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and support Self starter with ability to apply continuous improvement principles The successful candidate will have a tremendous opportunity to work in a dynamic and progressive environment with an organization that has a proven track record for significant growth.
