There are 2 openings for Process Engineers in the Gas Utilization Technology Department within the Technology Services Organization.
These positions will be initially focus on technology development but will evolve into opportunities to participate in major project s generally located overseas. Positions are located in Houston and San Antonio, TX and report to the Manager of Gas Utilization Te chnology.
Responsibilities:
- Process engineers develop processes and designs for new and existing oil and gas processing facilities. They also monitor daily production facility performance to ensure compliance with specifications. Process engineers identify, evaluate, test, and document emerging process-related technologies for use by Marathon.
- Design: Develops and evaluates process designs and provides engineering expertise in a variety of production facility areas, such as commissioning, start-up, and operating procedures to optimize product output. Runs simulations to model designs. Develops solution plans to solve process-related problems.
- Operations: Provides on-site monitoring of daily production facility performance to ensure compliance with specifications. Troubleshoots facility process and equipment operations. Identifies, evaluates, and implements opportunities to de-bottleneck or optimize facility design or processes.
- Technology: Identifies new and emerging process engineering technologies. Conducts simulations, experiments, literature searches, and related activities. Prepares designs, conducts pilot tests, and documents results to develop commercially viable technologies. Supports business development in emerging technology deployment. Supports patent application process. Responsible for conducting operations safely and in accordance with Marathon and regulatory guidelines, as well as for making and reporting safety observations
