Overview
Authors, revises, publishes, and distributes product line related documentation such as work instructions, product alerts/bulletins, and other Quality Management System standard operating procedures and maintenance, inspection, and repair documentation. Assists Quality Manager in maintaining product line related documentation structure.
Job Description
Provide structured writing, editing, and formatting for all product line related documentation.
Research equipment design and functionality with subject matter experts, providing documentation support at each stage of the product development/commercialization process
Maintain documentation integrity through predefined, structured use of document management system.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Management System and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, operating and technical procedures, and work instructions.
Contribute to continuous improvement of product line documentation and company quality standards.
Provide regular status reports to management for assigned projects.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications
Effective business communication, including ability to work with multiple personalities in face-to-face meetings and through correspondence
Ability to document and/or photograph assembly, disassembly, manufacture, and/or testing of product line equipment
Proficiency with Microsoft Word
Strong command of the English language
Strong personal drive for quality products, systems, and processes
Self-starting team player
Two or more years technical writing experience
Minimum of six months experience documenting the operation of mechanical equipment
