Job Description
- Assembles, prepares, checks and loads equipment required for a scheduled job.
- Sets up service unit, unloads equipment, assembles, prepares tools and rigging up on location.
- Guide subsurface tools in and out of well bore under the supervision of the Engineer.
- Operates hoist, performs routine measure checks, calculations and adjustments to ensure accurate depth measurements.
- Coordinates activities of assisting operators and/or customer's crew members.
- Participates in rigging down, and loading equipment.
- Assists Engineer in making field prints and driving service unit to shop or next site.
- Cleans and checks service unit, tools, and equipment, and performs routine maintenance in preparation for next job.
- Responds to customer assignments on short notice, day or night.
- Submit all required reports promptly and accurately (i.e., time, truck, drivers, and maintenance).
- Perform other duties and special assignments as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Must meet established criteria for Junior Operator and must complete the Operator Progression Checklist as well as have a minimum of three (3) months (and a maximum of 6 months) experience as a Junior Operator, or one year prior experience with another wireline company.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have never been convicted of a felony.
- Possess a valid driver's license of the appropriate type for the required vehicle.
- Must have not been cited for three (3) moving vehicle violations in the past 12 months.
- Must successfully complete a DOT physical.
