Overview
To insure all stock is cut according to cut sheets and dates, and transport cut items to work areas. Inform Manufacturing Manager or Supervisor of low stock levels as needed to insure proper inventory levels so that the shop can produce items for delivery dates. Receivers, unloads, and signs for material.
Job Description
- Cut all types of stock from cut sheets and level material with proper heat treat numbers and W.O. numbers.
- Deliver cut stock to proper work area being sure W.O. number is completed.
- Keep accurate record of material which is cut.
- Keep accurate account of all materials for proper inventory levels and requisition same.
- Unload truck using crane or forklift, check packing slips from freight company.
- Check stock and packaging slips against purchase order then stencil each bar and heat treat number.
- Put stock on rack in proper place.
- Keep accurate track of labor so it can be changed to proper W.O. number.
- Maintain and keep track of inventory for all raw material for Float and CMS departments.
- Cut raw stock for entire Weatherford Gemoco plant.
- Learn to operate cutting torch and cut 105 equipment.
- Learn how to operate bug-o system to torch cut 26" and above equipment.
- Maintain neat housekeeping.
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy, and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications
- Ability to use overhead cranes and forklift.
- Ability to use basic machinist tools such as micrometers, scales and tape measures.
- Ability to do general math.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
