[Company] features a wide range of products and services for applications in various industries including oil and gas, petrochemical and power generation. As an industry leader in custom steel fabrication, [Company] features some of the largest steel forming capacities available for use in the production of pressure vessel components.
We are searching for an energetic, self-motivated individual looking to begin an exciting and challenging career as a full-time QC Inspector to oversee Shop Manufacturing for pressure vessel components, repair / alteration, and process piping projects.
Qualifications
· Minimum five (5) years experience in the QC Inspection field.
· A Welding or Material Engineer Technology Diploma or equivalent would be an asset.
· CGSB / ASNT: Liquid Penetrant Level II, Magnetic Particle Level II is preferred but other qualification levels may be considered based on experience.
· Knowledge of ASME Codes, Pressure Piping Codes and provincial regulations an asset.
· The ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines is a definite asset.
· The ability to work well within a team and as an individual.
· Proficiency with computers, specifically Microsoft Word, Access.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for reviewing project specifications and drawings to ensure all the necessary quality control is followed.
· Responsible for creating, compiling and completing all necessary QC documentation for sign-off's.
· Ensuring all required QC testing is complete to specifications and in a timely process as to follow production scheduling.
· Be a liaison with and coordinate ABSA Authorized Inspector (A.I.), third party inspectors and subcontractors.
