[Company] . specializes in large, complex, integrated industrial/mechanical/electrical projects. Our projects involve construction of oil sands processing facilities, refinery expansions, gas plant expansions, co-generation facilities, major mine developments, spool fabrication facilities and SAGD facilities.
The Area Project Controls Manager will require a strong technical background and be capable of leading a multi-disciplined team of planners, schedulers and cost analysts.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee implementation and maintenance of all Project Controls efforts on all sites within Kiewit Energy Canada.
· Responsible for all activities related to project controls across the district including across our sites.
· Manage, mentor and support the site project controls department.
· Ensure site project controls policies and procedures, consistent with department policies are in implemented and monitored throughout the duration of the projects.
· Development and maintenance of resource loaded schedule, critical path analysis, resolution of scheduling conflicts and monitoring schedule delays and impacts.
· Provide schedule oversight and integration between master and sub projects.
· Analyze, trend and communicate schedule and progress information to project personnel through useful graphs and summary reports.
· Manage the earned production progress base and ensure accuracy of reporting and maintaining balance between the various Project Control systems.
Qualifications:
· 12 years experience in an EPC environment with a solid understanding of construction supervision
· This position requires strong Primavera P3 knowledge, experience on a direct hire project and the ability to manage a department.
· The candidate should have thorough knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost analysis, forecasting
· Strong work ethic with a proven ability to motivate staff
· Ability to travel/relocate based on business needs
· Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done
· Candidates must possess strong work ethic; good interpersonal skills; demonstrate good organization, verbal and written communication skills.
