Job Description
· Assist in establishing project Work Breakdown Structure
· Assist junior/intermediate Specialists in the execution of their work, provide coaching and mentoring support as required
· Liaise with Project Management and with the Client
· Set-up Cost or Schedule Reporting
· Work with Estimating Group to develop definitive cost estimate
· Participate in the provision of the following Project Controls deliverables: Change order and Trend Reports, detailed and summary cost reports, preparation of estimates for extra work, billing preparation.
· Develops totally integrated EPC schedules/cost control programs
· Recommends solutions or recovery plans to schedule/cost impact or delays
· Develops and analyzes the Project Income Statement and prepares the Sensitivity Analysis for management
· Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicates the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
· Coordinates estimate development with the Project Estimator
· Provides Status of Reserves and Contingencies
· Coordinates the review of Project Risk Analysis with management and provides status reporting
· Possesses practical experience in the use of the automated cost or scheduling systems
· Serves as Control Team Leader on small projects and provides direct supervision to a small team of Project Controls personnel, if necessary
· Provides meaningful, accurate historical data
Job Requirements
· Successful candidates will have 10 years' experience in Home office and site, working for a major EPC Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Company in the petrochemical industry.
· Ideal candidate will have experience working on projects of $500 million or more.
· Must possess directly related experience in cost control, with additional experience in estimating, or in scheduling, planning and contracts.
· Strong computer skills including spreadsheet packages and databases are essential.
