We are currently recruiting for the following position: Production Engineer
Job Profile:
Based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, and reporting functionally to the Terra Nova Reservoir Manager, the Production Engineer will work with the Terra Nova Reservoir Management Team, including other engineers and geoscientists to provide Production Engineering technical support to ongoing Terra Nova Field operations. Duties will be focussed on Terra Nova FPSO operations support and subsea well intervention planning and execution.
Accountabilities
The Production Engineer, with support from the Terra Nova Lead Production Engineer and technical specialists, will collaborate with other team members to provide:
- Championing of wellbore integrity, operational safety, environmental protection and production optimization
- Stewardship of the Terra Nova Integrated Production Model
- Well performance modelling using IPR software
- Supporting the development of Terra Nova well completion and workover/intervention programs
- Planning, scheduling and analysis of Terra Nova oil well separator tests
- Providing technical assistance to offshore FPSO Production Operations
- Analysis and troubleshooting of subsea and downhole well data
Capability Requirements - Specific Functional/Technical Skills
- Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum or related discipline);
- Three to five years (minimum) production engineering experience;
- Working knowledge of wellbore integrity stewardship and inflow performance analysis is essential;
- Experience with offshore well testing and production logging, artificial lifting techniques (primarily gas lift), production chemical specification and maintenance, and subsea debottlenecking is a strong asset.
- Offshore production operations, subsea well intervention and production allocation experience is also an asset.

- Willingness to travel offshore periodically for short durations to support the implementation and/or execution of production engineering programs.
