Job Description:
[Recruiter] is currently recruiting for Electrical Engineers (Int - Sr).
Electrical Engineer (Team Lead) P.Eng. Responsible for the completion of engineering hour estimates, engineering scheduleds, status and progressing reports, forecast to complete estimating and management of change procedures.
Qualifications
- EPCM project execution experience
- Have led a team of 6-12 electrical engineers and designers in the creation of engineering deliverables such as design caluculations, engineering studies, procurement documents, drawing and work packages through the detailed phase of the project.
- Must be registered as a practicing professional engineer with a professional engineering association in Canada
- Must have a minimum 10 years experience in engineering consulting in heavy industries.
- Preference will be given to those with strong technical skills and experience in oil and gas, pulp and paper, mining, or thermal power generation.
Electrical Engineer Eit - Heavy Industrial
- Works under the direction of a Professional Engineer creating calculations, drawings, documents, and work packages as part of the design team.
- Participate in the creation of power system, hazardous area classification, lightning protection, and grounding studies. Design of single line diagrams and schematics.
- Preparation of material requisitions for generators, transformers, switchgear, motor control centres, and other engineered equipment. Handling of code variances and technical deviations.
Education and Experience:
- Registered as an Engineer in Training with APEGGA or other Canadian professional engineering body.
- Past experience in heavy industrial design working with low voltage and medium voltage systems up to 15 kV. Experience in oil/gas, mining, pulp/paper, and thermal power generation is an asset.
- Preference will be given to candidates with 12-24 months experience in the field working with construction, commissioning, start-up, or turnover activities.
