Job Profile:
[Recruiter] is currently recruiting Intermediate To Senior Document Control person for employment opportunities in Alberta, B.C. and Saskatchewan to work in the oil sands, mining and petrochemical industries. These positions are long term (one year +) contract positions to work in an EPC/M environment on major Engineering/Construction projects (Construction site and home office based opportunities).
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and distributing workload, all document control functions, training and supervision on all sizes of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Set up of project requirements and project files
- Supplier and engineering drawing coordination
- Distribute workload on project
- Produce Supplier Equipment Data Manuals and QC Manuals per project requirements
- Expedite drawings and documents per project requirements
- Monitor all drawings and documentation requirements as outlined by pre-set schedules to ensure deadlines are met
- Compile documentation lists as requested by client
- Interview with IT and engineering groups for setup of electronic systems on projects
Education & Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of engineering terminology
- Ability to read and understand drawings and documentation is essential
- Minimum 4 years document control experience
- Supervisor experience an asset
- Previous engineering experience an asset
