Responsibilities:
Responsible for the project administration, commercial management and engineering of a contract.
Activities include contract review; design review; overseeing of conceptual and detail design work; planning; procurement of the more complex items of hardware; financial control of allocated budgets; document control; and all client liaison.
The department is also responsible for the compilation of tender documentation
To undertake project engineering of supply contracts and to manage the daily operational engineering activities of the allocated projects.
Provide project management support to the Project Manager in all project administrative activities.
In addition, to provide operational feedback into the engineering department to enable the Engineering Manager to make informed decisions regarding design changes and improvements
In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required
Operational engineering, including; review and interpretation of Client requirements; preparation/co-ordination of project documentation (specifications analyses, drawings, design calculations, design reports, design plans, procedures, work packages).
Commercial management of project including; cost control; variation control; invoicing; cashflow projects; financial reporting; import/export issues; risk management.
Compilation of tender/bid documentation.
Assist in the review of contractual requirements, clarification and resolution of ambiguities and dissemination of the company's obligations and scope of work to other functional departments
Assist in progress planning and reporting as required by the company and the Client.
Communication of potential/actual constraints to progress; accurate recording of Client caused delay; general concern regarding QHS&E issues, engineering or other operational issues.
Contribution and participation in the improvement, development and implementation of company quality and management procedures
Identify, participate, monitor and co-ordinate activities, equipment and materials associated with Health, Safety and Environmental considerations within the area's of the job holders responsibility.
Liaise with Client regarding site integration testing and/or offsite/offshore testing activity.

All personnel are responsible to ensure their compliance with H&S Management Systems in accordance with the principles, objectives and targets of the company's policy and in compliance with statutory provisions, taking account the complexity and business risks involved in operations
Requirements:
The individual performance and assessment criteria shall be established during the annual appraisal assessment between the employing Manager and jobholder.
Objectives and targets shall be assigned during the appraisal interview that the jobholder has to achieve in order to demonstrate competent performance
No physical effort is required, however some mental effort is required to meet deadlines
Degree qualified, preferably Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline
The position calls for a broad theoretical and practical knowledge relating to varied aspects of mechanical design and manufacture.
Offshore oil and gas contracting experience would also be useful but not essential.
Experience of computerised systems, including mathematical/spreadsheet software is necessary (Microsoft office word and excel
Specialist training required
Very good communication and interpersonal skills required.
Presentation skills are necessary requirements for this role
The job holder may be required to travel throughout the world to attend meetings with clients.
