Role Overview:
The Project Control Scheduler / Planner (PCP) will be allocated medium to large and/or multi projects and functionally reports to the Projects Controls Lead, for the region within which he/she operates, and works closely with the Project Management Centre leadership. The PCP is responsible for leading the project planning process for allocated projects. The Project Control Planner will ensure corporate governance, schedule procedure compliance and will provide technical leadership in the area of scheduling and progress reporting to the PMC leadership. The Project Control Planner will be expected to stand in for the Senior Project Control Specialist or Lead during periods of absence.
Direct Responsibility:
· The project planning process on allocated projects.
· For project schedule compliance standards in accordance with Honeywell schedule audit criteria and industry standards.
· What if analysis for developing efficient project schedules and work arounds.
· Participates in project review meetings & provides clear, accurate project schedule assessment & gives proactive advice to drive successful project completion
· For accuracy & timely delivery of all project & management estimates, reports & forecasts related to the project schedules on allocated projects.
· The accuracy of progress reporting in accordance with industry standards.
· Project Control Lead & Project Control Specialist as required
· In for Senior Project Control Specialist during periods of absence
· Final project schedule reports & provides the data recovery for the company historical database
Shared Responsibility:
· With regional PMC leadership to assist in Business Planning & Analysis
· Assist in resource planning, on a monthly basis, on allocated projects
· With scope breakout, establishing WBS & budgets on allocated projects.
· Guidance to supply management in regard to supplier schedule and progress reporting requirements of project controls tools & methodology
· Participates in audits of other project controls teams
· With PMC Leadership to produce accurate cost estimates for change orders associated with schedule impact
Skill Requirements:
· Project & Primavera schedule applications
· Path scheduling concepts
· Risk analysis and mitigation techniques
· Breakdown development - estimating, tracking and control & cash flow – concepts, schedule loading processes, planned, actual, forecast skills – oral, written, presentation
· Knowledge of estimating, tracking and control
· Knowledge of contracts, helpful, constructive, integrity & open
Qualifications:
· Leadership experience
· 3 - 5 years related work experience in Engineering or Construction industry with Off shore, Petro-Chem, Power, Mining or Life Science Projects
· Qualification in engineering, project management or finance.
