Our Client has a 3 month plus contract for a Project Manager.
The purpose of this project is to enable the business to obtain better control and reporting capabilities from the Health application. The Health System is a Vital Information Management System, analysis and reporting tool. The system is used to monitor and manage the maintenance for the heavy equipment trucks and shovels.
This application is currently on servers offsite and is not available our client's employees. The maintenance of the trucks and shovels is currently outsourced to the external supplier of the equipment. The business wants to have their own copy of the data so they can figure out whether or not to maintain this maintenance model.
This projects objectives are to provide software in order to:
· Monitor the fleet on a regular basis
· Obtain more frequent, customizable reports
· Allow for Maintenance personnel to be more proactive
In Scope:
· Servers and Software (Oracle, Business Objects)
· Network setup for this system
· Script application for desktop reporting -if required in the current release
· Setup the manintenance company for access to system
· Consultant for installing and configuring software
· Training new users
· Training system administrator / BAM support
· Transition to BAM
· Data backup? (is this provided by server support? Autobackup?)
· Enable the transfer of data from the equipment to the application
· Any data integration / system integration requirements?
Not In Scope:
· Modifications to existing hardware on the trucks
· Currently there is no data warehouse requirement
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Understand requirements and develop and implement technical solution using proper project delivery framework
· May need to assist business clients with business process design
· Understanding of infrastructure and how to get experts in the area to help create solutions
· PM skills
· Problem solving
· Understanding of mining equipment maintenance software
