Global Industries was founded in 1973 as a small diving company and has grown into a leader in the marine construction services industry. Global Industries is a publicly traded company that provides offshore construction, engineering and support services including pipeline, platform installation and removal, and diving services to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East/India, South America, and Mexico's Bay of Campeche. Our horizontal reel pipelay, mudbug technology, automatic welding, wet welding, and dry hyperbaric welding methodologies are unsurpassed in the industry.
General Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- DP systems operations, electrical/electronics troubleshooting, basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and firm understanding of power generation and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of position measuring equipment: GPS satellite systems, acoustic positioning systems, fanbeam and tautwire systems.
- Underwater video/sonar monitoring systems.
- Maintains all watch standing logs and data logging devices.
Education and Experience:
- Offshore DP experience or Military service equivalent.
