Overview
Supervise personnel in expediting the movement of freight between countries.
Job Description
- Coordinate the import and export of materials between countries.
- Provide supervision, leadership and development of staff.
- Analyze a situation and formulate a planning schedule for the department.
- Minimize shipping costs for the Company by choosing the best vendor to move materials.
- Create a status report to determine if the materials that vendors sent were received by Company.
- Assist at all the Operations meetings in order to have the knowledge of barge/vessel material requirements.
- Ensure that the Supply Chain processes are in accordance with Company policies.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of custom laws of host country.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Good organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Prefer international supply chain experience.
- Application of INCOTERMS (International commerce terms).
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. Equivalent experience can substitute degree requirement.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in supply chain
