Responsibilities:
• Management of tasks, budget and schedule for environmental projects involving site investigations, risk assessment, remedial action plan development, remediation systems, and/or monitoring programs
• Provision of direction and instruction to project team members including project engineers, scientists, technologists and other technical support staff
• Liaison with public and private sector clients, enhancement of client relationships and development of new business opportunities
• Contribution to technical and professional leadership within the firm
Qualifications:
• A degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology or environmental science, preferably at the Master’s level
• Licensed to practice as a professional engineer or geoscientist, or eligible to be licensed within six months
• Eight years' experience in environmental consulting
• Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel
Experience:
• Demonstrated success in the management of environmental projects
• Proficient in the conduct of several of the following:
- hydrogeological investigations
- geophysical surveys
- phased site assessments
- human health and/or ecological risk assessment
- remedial action plan development
- design and implementation of site monitoring plans
- remediation systems maintenance and upgrades
• Working knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, codes and standards
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g. MS Project) would be an asset
