Job Description
- Integrate into assigned Asset Teams and assist them as they quantify their 4P reserve/resource base, with primary emphasis on 2P reserves.
- Assist in the generation of quarterly reserves reconciliations, review/coordinate support of all significant new proved reserve assignments/reserve revisions in advance of quarterly SEC proved reserves bookings and ensure adequate documentation of all significant reserves changes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines for reserves/resources recognition, with primary emphasis on SEC reserves reporting, and secondary emphasis on SPE probable and possible reserves and resource recognition.
- Assist in mentoring opportunities and in identifying opportunities where the Asset Teams would benefit from additional technical training.
- Participate in engineering peer reviews.
- Support assigned asset teams in reserve audits and SEC and other reserves inquiries.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is required, preferably Petroleum Engineering; MBA is desired.
- A minimum of 10 years of reservoir and/or reserves reporting experience is required.
- The person in this position will be expected to acquire functional capability of assigned Asset Team reserves reporting software.
- The ideal candidate must possess superior technical skills and leadership qualities, be an excellent communicator, consensus builder, number cruncher, detail oriented as well as seeing the “big” picture, and be able to lead meetings of multifunctional technical participants (Engineers and Geoscientists).
