Responsibilities:
 
  • Conduct HSEMS & Waste Vendor audits within NAR
  • Facilitates implementation of the HSE Management
  • Educates local management on internal and external HS&E roles and responsibilities 
  • Presents HS&E related information to operating clients
  • Conducts client bid tenders as requested
  • Activity involved in promoting HS&E culture within Industry Association (PSAC) 
  • Manages COR petroleum industry audit requirements 
  • Communicates and localizes INTEQ HS&E Goals & Initiatives 
  • Is a member of the Canadian Leadership Team 
  • Activity participates in the BHCC Cross Divisional HS&E Committee 
  • Manages return to work program
  • Liaison with provincial WCB organizations
  • Actively involved in the new hire SSE / Mentoring / Orientation program
  • Facilitates Q Manage HS&E responsibilities with Canada Area 
  • Participate in rig / well site audits with local management (onshore and offshore) 
  • Monitors the HS&E component of the "First Alert" incident reporting system
  • Conduct Root Cause investigations using "Why" analysis 
  • Manages HS&E special projects as assigned
 
Skill Requirements:
 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to research, analyze, and interpret HS&E regulations, standards, and best practices as they pertain to operations
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and the regulatory process
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and field location personnel
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
 
Education / Qualifications:
 
  • 5+ years experience in HS&E related field 
  • OIL Field experience considered an asset 
  • CRSP designation preferred 
  • Completion of Bachelor's Degree, HS&E Certificate / Diploma program or equivalent
