Responsibilities:
Review orders and ensure that the necessary documentation has been included and that the job will meet the customers’ technical needs.
Participate in the organisation of pre-job briefs with the Company Representative and Offshore Crew.
Ensure that all hardware meets customer design specifications and is physically assembled correctly.
Provide technical input for proposal production.
Ensure that the proposals are viable and technically sound.
Participate in the professional and technical development of the Product Line Assistants and Product Line Engineers.
Provide rig site assistance when necessary and support the customer during “rig call” or “morning meetings” for ongoing jobs.
Assist with maintaining and updating the CAD and Procedure Library when improvements are possible. Responsible for completing BOT Client Report information on a daily basis in order to document customer contact activity.
Ensure that deadlines are met for assigned projects, proposals, and quotes.
Assist with problem job reports (review the job log, network with operations and Region Engineering, and review mechanical failures).
Responsible for maintaining and developing the skills necessary to design solutions for jobs.
This includes up to date product knowledge, software skills, and data interpretation.
Develop skills with other complimentary product lines and apply cross-product utilization where appropriate. Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with Sales and Marketing Services Group members.
Communicate new product applications or improvements should be communicated to others within the company via technical presentations or other less formal channels of communication.
Requirements:
Intermediate technical skills.
Good written and verbal skills.
Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently.
Intermediate problem solving and project management skills.
Good organizing, planning, and presentation skills.
Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and customer focused with a drive for results.
Ability to manage time, make quality decisions, and manage and measure work.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with excellent background of experience in specific product line based discipline desired, with at least some in an offshore capacity.
