Looking for the best! Our client strives to provide customer service in addition to its superior quality for open construction projects throughout Canada and is looking for a superior Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator to join its team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for performing detailed take-offs and estimates for the department and project management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed take-offs with labour & material pricing entries and extensions;
- Supervise and coordinate work affecting discipline estimates;
- Work with the Estimating Manager to develop bid strategies and closing of electrical & instrumentation estimates;
- Maintain active communication with all tendering authorities, including owners, architects, and engineers;
- Assist in establishing and pricing of indirect costs;
- Provide information to support detailed scheduling;
- Provide support to field operations regarding electrical & instrumentation estimates/IFCs;
- Work with cost codes, project productivity and project control systems;
- Coordinate multidiscipline estimates;
- Provide input to proposal documents; and
- Work in Client and Engineering offices to support EDS/AFE budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive estimating experience in the electrical & instrumentation discipline.
- Industrial construction experience is a definite asset.
- Proficiency using MS Office and experience with packaged electrical & instrumentation estimating software is an asset.
- Preference will be given to candidates that possess both relevant trade experience and technical education.
This full-time position offers an annual salary of up to $90,000 and is complemented by comprehensive benefits and financial incentives packages. In addition, there is opportunity for advancement into the Estimating Manager position.
