Job Description

This Production Engineer will be responsible for Production Engineering activities in the Mid-Continent Business Unit, which is responsible for assets in Montana and North Dakota, specifically the Cedar Creek Anticline. 

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and optimization of production and operating expenses.
• Opportunity recognition including generating & implementing recompletions and remedial workovers.
• Artifical lift design inlcuding failure mechanism analysis and solution recommendations.
• On-site field technical support.
• This position will work closely with field Operations to insure optimum well performance and will be responsible for providing technical support and consultation to optimize existing and new well designs. The engineer will also work closely with the Midland based Development Team to set priorities and ensure work plan alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions.
• Fifteen years or more direct experience in production engineering or related field.
• Travel  approximately 20% each year within the asset area to visit field operations personnel and attend field meetings.
• Ten years or more direct experience in field operations including well work.
• Seven years or more direct experience with artificial lift design
• Proficient (ability to perform the skill with limited assistance) in Windows and MS Office applications (Excel, Word) 

Preferred Experience

• Good communications and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with team members and Operations personnel.
• Ability to work well within multi-discipline teams in the office and field environments.
• Must have a strong commitment to safety and promoting safe work practices.
