Job Description

Gather and analyze data, convert into actionable input to various [Employer] groups for assessing global energy supply market trends, create and implement corporate-wide long range planning cost escalation estimates, and prepare market commodity and supplier profiles of Global Procurement Services products and service needs.  

Primary Functions:

Provide analysis: internal [Employer] intelligence, external industry intelligence, historical data analysis, and market forecasting.  May include cost and econometric models, presentations and communiqués for management. 

Responsibilities

• Develop actionable market intelligence for key spend sub-categories Understand historical and current pricing, build cost models and develop future cost escalation    forecasts for designated categories of goods and services
• Analyze internal procurement requirements to create a historical and projected estimate of future demand for designated materials and services
• Create supply market profiles highlighting market size, major players, cost/margin structure, five forces analysis, and demand/supply trends
• Create supplier profiles highlighting strengths, weaknesses, financial analysis, and competitive positioning of providers of materials and services
• Gather and analyze designated commodities’ spend patterns and product specifications to build commodity profile
• May be involved with documenting current supplier agreements and contracts to assist with commodity plan
• Budget Responsibility ($) – NA; involved in studies, subscriptions, data purchases
• Scope (Local BU, Global etc) : Local, with global networks, Critical Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal & communications skills (oral and written)
• Result-oriented with attention to details
• Ability to synthesisze information from multiple sources and capability to report in a succinct and effective manner
• Ability to deliver multiple projects at the same time
• Strong technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint

 Qualifications

 Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Business

• Minimum 3 Years experience
