[Company] Building Solutions (HBS) installs and maintains the systems that help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient. HBS services critical building systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, fire, security and energy management.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the location technician workforce in the execution of PM & EM services on the location contract base.
· Provide feedback to the Field Service Leader on performance of location technician workforce.
· Monitor the performance of the contract base and labour loading.
· Assist the Field Service Leader to ensure a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training, equipment/vehicle maintenance and facilities improvement. Manage safety program for assigned field operation.
· Participate in estimate review process prior to jobs or contracts being quoted to assure labour estimates are correct and that the work is achievable from a technical perspective.
· Assist the Field Service Leader in developing strategies for maximizing contract penetration.
· Be the change management leader for team and aggressively implement agreed to initiatives.
· Assist the Field Service Leader in building effective teams committed to organizational goals, foster collaboration among team members and between teams.
· Assist the Field Service Leader in developing and implementing service manpower plans in support of the district business plan. Control costs and maximize productivity through the implementation of effective methods and standard processes.
· Additional responsibilities as required.
Skills and Competencies:
· Post Secondary Education with emphasis on electronics / computer technology mandatory.
· Programming such as PASCAL, Visual Basic, CARE, CAE to program systems.
· MSOFT software — Excel, Word, Access etc.
· PC’s and operating systems, admin level — to repair, maintain and properly back up systems.
· LAN communications and TCIP protocol (MCSE an asset).
· Thorough understanding of DDC control and energy management concepts.
· Excellent customer relation, communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent team player.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills.
· Mechanical, DDC Control Experience.
· Fire and Security experience an asset.
· Supervision or Project Management experience an asset.
