Job Description
- Prepare and coat product to provided specifications as required per drawing, engineering standards, shop orders and / or verbal instructions for corrosion resistance and aesthetic value.
- Prepare and maintain equipment for blast and coating operations.
- Select most appropriate method to remove old finishes.
- Prepare surfaces of product for painting by repairing, sanding and patching.
- Coat product to provided specifications.
- Complete required inspections per NACE I codes.
- Adhere to procedures for the safe handling of toxins and proper disposal of resulting sludge.
- Train and direct the work quality and activities of others.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and/or other material-handling equipment.
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities.
- Perform all duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· Minimum High School graduate or GED or 5+ years of experience.
· 3+ years of experience in industrial coating application including performing all types of surface preparations.
· 3+ years experience with the interpretation of material safety data sheets, engineering specifications and equipment safety guidelines.
