Job Description
 
The Commercial Operation Manager within the Oil & Gas Global Services ITO Team plays an essential role in the growth of Global Services business.
 
Main responsibilities will be as follows:
 
  • Be accountable for overall Project proposal strategy.
  • Achieve financial and operational targets committed (eg identify new deals, build up new opportunities).
  • Support the Sales Force in opportunity development / assessment with Customers.
  • Identify with Application Engineering Team the best solutions to meet Customers' "Critical to Quality" (CTQs)
  • Scout opportunities teaming up with Sales Regional Manager.
  • Gate to O&G HQ (Nuovo Pignone) for Request for Quotations (RFQs) and/ or for proposals relevant to the Field.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, guarantee Quality completeness and Time responsiveness.
  • Coordinate Functions (Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Technical Assistance, Sales Force, Global Services P&Ls) during proposal preparation and follow-up.
  • Define strategy on Price and Margin and leverage ROI evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment.
  • Lead Hand-Off for project execution phase (OTR) (supported by the team).
  • Track, monitor and report the assigned project/s (CMS tool management).
 
Qualifications
 
  • BS Engineering degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical / commercial or operations role, preferably developed in Oil & Gas Sectors.
  • Fluency both in English and Italian languages.
 
Desired
 
  • Self-starter, high motivation level, strong leadership skills.
  • BS degree in Mechanical/ Aeronautical Engineering preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and team building skills.
  • Excellent commercial skills, developed through negotiation experience and knowledge of customer financial drivers.
  • Full availability to travel for business purposes world-wide.
  • Risk management experience.
  • Knowledge of a third language.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification (GE employees only).
