The Calgary IST organization is building a new Trade Floor and refitting an existing floor for their support staff.
 
The IT&S Project Manager will be responsible for implementing all technology aspects of the project, according to the specification approved by the Technology User group and Project Director, on time and within budget.
 
Job Dimensions:
The IT&S Project Manager will have accountability for the entire IT budget, managing the planning, scheduling, testing and delivery of all the IT work associated with the project.
 
Accountabilities:
In order to achieve this, the IT&S Manager will be responsible for:
 
·         Defining and agreeing the technology infrastructure requirements within the completed complex and its interface with retained facilities
·         Providing the technology infrastructure requirements for inclusion in the Statement of Requirements
·         Identifying quality procedures and standards to be applied to the IT works
·         Managing the specification, design, procurement and relocation/installation of the IT infrastructure (cabling contract to be considered for inclusion within construction management scope)
·         Drawing up a detailed budget cost plan for the IT elements
·         Establishing an agreed program for the IT works
·         Agree final accounts
·         Deliver operating and maintenance manuals to the Facilities Manager and IT Operations Manager, as appropriate, to a timescale and format to be agreed.
 
Experience:
Delivery of telephony, AV and PC solutions in prior roles are required.
 
Education/Certification:
·         IT certification is essential.
·         Project Management certification is highly desirable, although experience will be strongly weighted.
