Responsibilities
Located in Calgary, Alberta and reporting to the Team Lead, the Production Accounting Department within Financial Services has an immediate opening for an Intermediate Production Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for all of the monthly production and revenue/royalty accounting functions for assigned properties. One or more positions will be filled with this posting.
Duties may include (depending on desk):
· Several single well oil and gas batteries delivering to internal and external custody transfer points.
· Multi-well oil prorated batteries delivering to internal and external custody transfer points.
· Multi-well gas batteries flowing to a third party facility
· CSO for Nova meter station
· Oil & water deliveries to multiple receipt points
· Volumetric, APMC and SAF/OAF reporting in the Petroleum Registry
· Pipeline splits between working interest owners as required.
· Operated and non-operated revenue bookings.
· Balancing revenue and clearing accounts receivable entries.
Basic/Required Qualifications
Ideally, candidate would have CAPPA certification and 4 or more years of experience as a Production Accountant. Experience with PRISM, as well as SAP financial system would be beneficial. Candidate should also demonstrate a strong desire to learn and grow within an environment of growth and change.
Communication skills both written and verbal, along with superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize work logically is required in this deadline driven environment. Strong analytical skills are a necessity and must have the capacity to pursue and resolve issues both independently and as part of a team.
