Job Description
Responsibility: Individual is responsible to assist in the development, implementation and administration of agreements and contracts for goods and services related to activities performed by the Supply Chain Management Department. This activity will also include the purchase of goods and services for domestic and international business units.
Essential Job Duties
- Develop a complete list of Corporate Administrative and I.T. contracts and determine status of these contracts.
- Update any agreements as required and maintain a data base to monitor status to assure compliance with OOGC policies.
- Search for opportunities to consolidate National / Global Agreements on administrative contracts to reduce number of same-service suppliers to OOGC and implement strategic agreement resulting in improved transactional efficiency and cost savings.
- Coordinate with the I.T. Department regarding the acquisition of I.T. services and equipment including software licenses and distribution agreements.
- Monitor compliance of business unit acquisition and utilization of aviation services per the requirements of the HES Risk Management Procedure “Management of Hazards Associated with Aviation Transportation.” This includes the preparation and update of documents to support aviation requirements, such as procedures, process flowcharts, and templates designed by SCM (RFP, Global Aviation Agreements) to align the process with Oxy policies / procedures.
- Purchase goods and materials as required for both domestic and international Occidental business units.
- Expedite the delivery – performance of suppliers to assure the timely completion of all contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- College degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 yrs experience working in Contract Administration – Purchasing.
- Must be able to travel to both local & international locations. Estimated travel: 10 %
- Working proficiency with Contract terminology - documents.
- Proficient user of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven self starter with ability to work independently & develop comprehensive programs
- Ability to multi-task; flexible to change and easy to adapt
- Sound decision-making abilities; can work without all the information
