Job Description
Equipment Techs maintain and make repairs to equipment as needed to achieve maximum uptime and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include: preventative and predictive maintenance, planning and scheduling equipment repairs, maintaining mechanical integrity on surface equipment and input of data into and utilization of a maintenance management system for planning and scheduling work. These responsibilities are done in conjunction with other team members to ensure work does not interrupt ongoing operations.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years oilfield experience is preferred with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors & the public
- Working knowledge of pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment and specialized tools for measurement, alignment and vibration analysis
- Strong initiative and self-starter
- Computer skills in Microsoft programs
- Production Technology Degree or equivalent experience
- Multi-task oriented with excellent planning, time management and prioritization skills
- Working knowledge of oil and gas production operations utilizing environmental and safe work practices
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong technical skills, including mathematical and computer skills and the ability to keep neat and accurate records
- Ability to cope with change and adapt as business priorities change
- Strong problem-solving skills to include proven mechanical trouble-shooting and repair skills
- Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and assist in the implementation of cost effective solutions
- Understanding the application of business fundamentals to maximize earnings within assigned area
- Gas engine, gas compressor, water pump (multi-plex positive displacement) operation and maintenance experience or training
- Proven commitment to safe operating practices and HES policies and procedures.
- There is an On-Call responsibility/expectation for this position
