If this sounds like you, we have the opportunity you've been waiting for! Our client is forging ahead in the oil and gas construction industry, and is seeking a Business Development Consultant.
 
The Business Development Consultant will work off of leads from the company's internal database in the electrical, instrumentation and engineering fields, all related to the oil and gas sector. This individual will work in close conjunction with the Calgary Consultant to promote and generate new business/contracts.
 
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the following duties:
·         Manage all regional sales, marketing and business development activities
·         Act as the liaison between customers (mostly new and some existing), contractors and project engineers
·         Pursue new business opportunities and maintain existing customer base
·         Achieve sales volumes and targets budgeted for both existing accounts and prospecting of new accounts
 
You will also bring the following skills, attributes, and qualifications to the table:
·         Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Business or Engineering
·         2-3 years in high end sales in the Oil and Gas industry
·         Excellent Public Relations skills
·         A motivated, results oriented individual with a good business acumen
·         Sales negotiation skills
·         Strong ability to build and maintain business relationships
·         Must be willing to travel (30% travel between Calgary, Edmonton and Fort McMurray)
 
The base salary for this position is $70,000 - $80,000, plus commission/bonus. A full benefits package, expense account, and vehicle allowance are also included.
