Job Description
Tubular Management and Manufacturing, a division of Flint Energy Services Ltd., is currently seeking a dynamic team member for a challenging opportunity as the General Manager located in our Nisku office.
Reporting to the Vice President, Tubular Management and Manufacturing, the successful candidate will be required to provide overall management direction and control for the division's largest Tubular Refurbishment Facility in Nisku Alberta . The individual chosen for this opportunity must operate at a strategic level, and must be effective at planning, delegating and monitoring the work to ensure successful execution of the work through operational management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
· Championing the corporate safety program and making it an intrinsic aspect of the day-to-day work by ensuring that all specific responsibilities and accountabilities as outlined in the Flint Safety Management System are fully met;
· Working with the Vice President in the development of company strategy focusing on overall performance and organizational dynamics of the Tubular group;
· Training, mentoring and coaching managers to ensure they are able to execute corporate and divisional strategies effectively;
· Participating in and ensuring effective alignment with customer service initiatives through visits with the clients and exploring new opportunities with external contacts;
· Ensuring the checks and balances are occurring at the appropriate levels in a timely and concise manner;
· Continually assessing the work schedule to ensure quality, timely and successful delivery of services;
· Monitoring needs from the executives perspective to ensure business requirements are achieved;
· Leading and managing change;
· Keeping managers' energies and efforts focused in the right areas;
· Managing the financial performance of the department while maintaining a clear focus on company and client principles and objectives;
· Providing leadership to obtain budgeted operating results.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are strongly encouraged:
· Proven proficiency in a senior level management capacity in tubular technical services or the Oil & Gas services industry;
· A proven track record of leadership, strategic as well as day-to-day tactical decision making and safety performance including cost management and overall profitability;
· A good understanding of downhole tubulars and a strong industry network would be an asset;
· Post-secondary certification from an accredited college, university or technical school.
